Specialty Envelope Systems & Architectural Metal

Oversized skylights, space frames and mega louvers are won or lost before the crane arrives. PROCON E&C prepares the lift and rigging plan itself, sets the safety plan and agrees on the sequence with the other trades, so each pick is planned to go right the first time, keeping crane standby and schedule impact to a minimum. The same crews install architectural metal panels and the doors, windows, ceilings and finishes around them.

HOW WE WORK

WON BEFORE THE CRANE ARRIVES

A pick that does not finish the first time comes back as crane standby hours and schedule delays. PROCON prepares the plan itself and does the work up front, in four steps.

  1. 01

    Lift & Rigging Plan

Load calculations, crane position, rigging and pick sequence, prepared by PROCON and settled before the crane is on site.

  2. 02

    Safety Plan

Exclusion zone and barricades set, and a pre-lift meeting with everyone on the pick before the load leaves the ground.

  3. 03

    Trade Coordination

Sequence, access and hold points worked out with the steel, roofing and glazing trades, so the opening and the path are ready on pick day.

  4. 04

    Lift Execution

Planned so each pick goes right the first time, minimizing crane standby and schedule impact. Our own crew then sets, fastens and seals each piece.

WHAT WE BUILD

WHAT WE SELF-PERFORM

Crane-set assemblies

Large skylight, louver and cladding assemblies set by crane on a planned pick.

ACM and composite panels

Aluminum composite material (ACM) and composite panel systems, with sub-framing, flashing and sealant.

Decorative and curved panels

Decorative metal panels and curved panels for facades and feature walls.

Stadium and arena cladding

Exterior metal cladding for stadiums and arenas.

Subroof and metal roof

COMMON QUESTIONS

FAQ.

Who prepares the lift plan?
PROCON does. We prepare the lift and rigging plan ourselves: load calculations, crane position, rigging and pick sequence. The safety plan and the trade sequence are set before the crane arrives.
What specialty envelope work have you built?
At Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America in Ellabell, Georgia, we installed motorized skylights on the space-frame roof of the exhibition building, along with its window and door systems. At the S-JV battery plant we installed industrial mega louvers.
Do you install architectural metal panels?
Yes. ACM and composite panels, decorative and curved metal panels, stadium and arena exterior cladding, subroof and roof sub-framing, and metal roof panels.
Do you also take on standard doors, windows and interiors?
Yes. Doors, windows and glazing, louvers, ceilings, partitions and finishes under Divisions 07, 08 and 09, often in the same building as the specialty work.
