Equipment Installation & Hook-up

Equipment is where the trades meet. PROCON E&C receives, rigs, sets and hooks up the equipment a plant runs on: process tools, HVAC equipment such as AHUs, MAUs, dry cooling coils and exhaust fans, electrical gear such as switchgear, transformers, UPS and MCCs, and AMHS rail in the fab. Our own crews connect the piping, power and controls to each unit, so setting and hook-up stay inside one team. In a fab, tool power runs from the sub-fab, through the waffle slab and under the access floor, to the tool main disconnect.

WHAT WE BUILD

WHAT WE SELF-PERFORM

Process tools

Tools rigged in, set to the layout on the fab floor or the access floor, and hooked up to process gas, chemical and UPW piping, power and controls.

HVAC equipment

AHUs, MAUs, FFUs, dry cooling coils (DCC) and exhaust fans set by crane or rigging and connected to duct, piping and power.

Electrical gear

Switchgear, switchboards, transformers, UPS and MCCs set, leveled, anchored and landed.

AMHS

AMHS rail hung from the ceiling grid main tees after the FFUs are set, then aligned and secured along the route.

HOW WE WORK

FROM RECEIVING TO START-UP

  1. 01

    Receiving & Rigging

Equipment received, checked for shipping damage and rigged in along a planned path, by crane where needed.

  2. 02

    Setting & Leveling

Set to the layout, leveled, aligned and anchored on the floor, the pad, the roof or the access floor.

  3. 03

    Hook-up

Piping, power and controls connected: process gas, chemical and UPW, duct and HVAC piping, feeders to the main disconnect, and control and network wiring.

  4. 04

    Testing & Start-up Support

Our connections tested, labeled and documented, with our crews on hand to support the start-up.

ALL PROJECTS

One integrated team

Cleanroom architecture, electrical and controls, HVAC, AMHS, and equipment setting and hook-up under one contract.

Fewer interface gaps, no finger-pointing between trades, fewer delays.

Korean experience, U.S. codes

Bilingual Korean–English teams bring experience from Korean advanced-manufacturing plants and build to U.S. codes and practice.

Built for Samsung, SK hynix, LGES and Hyundai plants.

COMMON QUESTIONS

FAQ.

What equipment do you install?
Process tools, HVAC equipment such as AHUs, MAUs, FFUs, dry cooling coils and exhaust fans, electrical gear such as switchgear, transformers, UPS and MCCs, and AMHS rail. We receive, rig, set and level the equipment and hook up its piping, power and controls.
Do you install AMHS?
Yes. Once the FFUs are in, we hang the AMHS rail from the ceiling grid main tees and align and secure it along the route. The vehicles and their controls come from the equipment supplier.
How does tool power reach the tool?
From the sub-fab distribution, up through the waffle slab and under the access floor, to the tool main disconnect. We run the feeder and terminate it at the disconnect.
Do you support start-up?
Yes. We test our connections, label and document them, and keep our crews on hand to support the start-up.
